Hi everyone from damp cool Cambridge, UK where I am sitting at my desk in the lounge I share with Saddhahadaya [whose house I live in] looking out onto our little front garden where a lovely fragrant creeper adorns the wrought iron railings between our brick paved garden and the pavement. Red and gold wallflowers grow in the flower bed beneath the creeper and window boxes adorn the lounge window cills. Above the line of the creeper I see the top of an apple tree which grows across the road in a neighbours' garden. Inside all is cosy; I decided to light the wood burner stove for the afternoon.
I thought I would give you an update on how the fundraising is going over here in UK for Sudarshanalokas' future benefit. Although I haven't managed to do a great deal of work for the Appeal since I last wrote I am very pleased to report that there has been a significant leap forward to £14,000 sterling [in region of 27,000 NZ$] in money pledged and already given which is fantastic.
I am now running the Appeal until end March 2013 as I am only able to devote a few days each month to the work and sometimes as long as six weeks go by without me doing anything. I find this rather frustrating but other entirely unrelated things call upon me for attention. I do have a couple of people helping me a bit with some of the fundraising letters I am writing so that's great.
I'll leave it here for now. I've enjoyed seeing all the new images in your slide-show; looks like there are a lot of fun things happening on the land...wish I was there !
Love Sanghadevi
